Duration Calculator
Calculate duration between a start and end time or between two date-times, with optional break deduction, overnight shifts, decimal hours and night-minute reference.
Duration between start and end time
Duration calculator intent usually starts with two boundaries: a start time and an end time, or two full date-times for longer intervals.
Break deduction is optional. In time-only mode, enable next day when the end time belongs to the following calendar day.
Shifts, breaks and overnight intervals
- Time-to-time mode fits a single work shift, meeting, class or activity.
- Date-time mode fits intervals that span dates or need exact calendar boundaries.
- Break minutes can be deducted from the elapsed duration.
- Night minutes from 10 PM to 6 AM are shown as a reference and may need manual adjustment after a break.
